Habitat Partners with Crawford Road Neighborhood
Habitat for Humanity launched its Neighborhood Revitalization efforts in 2011 and as a result has completed more than 75 home repair projects to date. In 2012, our affiliate launched our repair program in the Johnson City neighborhood of York and over the next 3 years completed a small number of repairs in York, Rock Hill and Clover. In 2014, we began our partnership with the Paradise community in Fort Mill as our neighborhood revitalization focus area where we concentrated a significant amount of our home repair work. Over the past 3 years, in addition to our major focus work in Fort Mill, our affiliate continued to complete home repairs in Clover and most recently has renewed our home repair work into Rock Hill.
For the past few years Habitat has extended its work into Clover and most recently into Rock Hill.
We are proud of the work our partners have helped us to achieve and are looking to expand this work into new neighborhoods.
Recently, we were one of 13 affiliates nationwide awarded a Neighborhood Revitalization grant by the Wells Fargo Housing Foundation. This grant will allow us to expand our neighborhood revitalization work into the Crawford Road community of Rock Hill. Please join us as we kick-off this expansion on Saturday, September 30, at 11:00 AM on the corner of Crawford and Heckle Road.
