Habitat for Humanity of York County pursues a community development model for our work which we refer to as Neighborhood Revitalization. This model directs our efforts toward defined neighborhoods within our geographic service area allowing us to concentrate our work and leverage our resources along with other collaborative partners to enhance and improve the overall quality of life of area residents in keeping with their aspirations.
Through Neighborhood Revitalization, we engage residents, identify their aspirations, address their housing needs and collaborate with partners that can help achieve the desired quality of life improvements within the neighborhood. Taking an asset-based community development approach, we believe in partnering with residents to build strength, stability and self-reliance through shelter.
Currently, we’re partnering with the following communities through our Neighborhood Revitalization work:
- Paradise Neighborhood – Fort Mill, SC
- Roosevelt Neighborhood – Clover, SC
