Critical Home Repair (CHR) completes repairs impacting health, safety, accessibility, and energy efficiency at a subsidized rate, allowing homeowners to remain in their homes and helping preserve York County’s dwindling affordable housing stock.

Program Update (as of September 2025):
Home Repair applications have been closed since September 5, 2025. Due to high demand and limited program resources—including funding, staff capacity, building materials, and gift-in-kind support—the waitlist for an application is also now closed until further notice. We do not want families waiting for repairs when we are not certain when we will be able to reach them.

Habitat for Humanity of York County continues to review our application process and will share updates on our website and social media as they become available. We truly wish we could serve everyone needing repairs.

For questions, please call the Critical Home Repair Hotline at 803-328-1728 x3 or email services@yorkcountyhabitat.org.
