Regular Weekday Crew

Are you experienced in construction or would like to learn construction more in-depth? Weekday crew members can choose one day or multiple days per week according to their preference as their regular volunteer commitment. Tasks are assigned by Tuesday of each week.

Training Needed: Volunteer orientation, plus on-site training
Time Commitment: One day each week per month

Habitat Host

Do you enjoy meeting new people? Are you an early riser? Site hosts spend a couple of hours on a construction site greeting volunteers, assisting with volunteer sign-in, distributing tools and educating others about <Habitat>. Afterward, hosts are welcome to join volunteers in the day’s tasks. Habitat Hosts may also be asked to help at volunteer fairs, community and other special occasions.

Training Needed: Volunteer orientation, plus 1-3 staff-assisted trainings
Time Commitment: One day every other month, minimum

Go-To-Crew

If you have a flexible schedule and are willing to be contacted last-minute about critical construction volunteer needs, sign up for Go-To-Crew. This opportunity is great in combination with any of our other volunteer opportunities.

Crew Leader

Crew leaders assist Habitat of York County staff in leading small groups of 4-5 volunteers in particular construction tasks on-site. Great opportunity for volunteers with construction experience and leadership skills.

Training Needed: Volunteer orientation, plus 3 staff-assisted trainings specific to the construction task
Time Commitment: One day every other month, minimum
