  • Every volunteer can advocate and help more families build strength, stability, and independence.
Volunteers, partners, and donors are the backbone of our organization. Without people like you, the reality of owning a home would be a distant dream for many of the families we help every day. Even if you’ve never used a hammer before, you can help play a crucial role in our worthwhile and rewarding endeavor to build homes for families looking to improve their living conditions as well as their overall life. Take a moment to think about how you can be the difference maker in someone else’s life by volunteering with Habitat for Humanity.

  • Refresh. Renew. ReStore.

Shopping at a Habitat ReStore isn’t like the shopping experience anywhere else.
The money raised by Habitat for Humanity ReStores helps families build a decent and affordable place to call home. When the items you donate to ReStore are sold, the money helps families achieve the strength, stability and independence they need to build a better future. Best of all, proceeds from the sale of these donated goods help families build a foundation for their future. We accept new and gently used appliances, furniture, building materials, household goods and more from individuals and companies.

  • Every Family

Every family needs to feel the confidence that comes from a stable home.
Families all over the world vary in their size and how they fit together. Regardless of how they became a family, Habitat for Humanity believes that every family deserves a safe place to call home. A place to laugh, a place to grow, a place to love. Our homeownership program provides that opportunity to families looking to flourish in their new surroundings. With a bit of determination and hard work, you too can own a home.

  • Get ready to make a difference.
Working at Habitat for Humanity isn't like working anywhere else. You’ll have the opportunity to work every day with other motivated individuals, happy to serve their community and driven to make a difference in the lives of those around them. We're currently looking for someone with great work ethic and leadership skills to take on the role of ReStore Manager.

About Us
What We Do

No matter who we are or where we come from, we all deserve to have a decent life. We deserve to feel strength and stability day after day.  We deserve to know we have the power to take care of ourselves and build our own futures.

At Habitat for Humanity of York County, this is what unites us.  Through shelter, we empower.  Our shared vision is a world where everyone has a decent place to live. Because you, me, we – we’re all humans.  And every single one of us deserves an opportunity for a better future.

Our Stories
Neighborhood Revitalization

Habitat for Humanity of York County pursues a community development model for our work which we refer to as Neighborhood Revitalization. This model directs our efforts toward defined neighborhoods within our geographic service area allowing us to concentrate our work and leverage our resources along with other collaborative partners to enhance and improve the overall quality of life of area residents in keeping with their aspirations. The Paradise neighborhood in Fort Mill and the Roosevelt neighborhood in Clover are just a couple of our current projects.
